Day 2 of the Fargo Horseless Carriage Club Fall Tour continues. We spent most of today in and around Taylor Falls, MN. We boarded he Taylor Falls Princess River Boat in the late morning for a scenic and educational tour of the St. Croix River. We learned from the tour guide that the Catholic Missionaries who came here in the 1700's were able to see the image of the Cross of Jesus Christ on the rock cliffs above the river bank thus naming the river Sainte-Croix, which means "Holy Cross". Other historical sites seen by the group today included the building of the oldest Methodist church in Minnesota which was founded in 1861 and the Folsom House Museum. Other stops included an apple orchard, a maple syrup stop, an old fashioned drive in with car hops and a 50 acre sculpture park. The sculpture park had many enormous and strange mostly metal sculptures.
